We're always looking for new collaborations with freelance writers in cities worldwide. St-W's interns are a valuable part of our team and we ask for a commitment of 36 hours a week in our office in Amsterdam. However, we can be flexible with regards to important study or work dates. All interns are responsible for providing St-W with a valid BSN and will be compensated with an allowance of EUR 450 per month. The preferred internship period is 6 months.


Event Production Manager
Preferred Start: December 2018

We are looking for a bright, hardworking, versatile and talented event production manager to organise and produce the St-W Awards and St-W Lab 2019. For more information on these events, please visit and check out these videos: St-W Awards Aftermovie and St-W Lab Aftermovie.

Established in 2017, St-W Awards aim to set the global standard in interior design. St-W Lab is the world’s leading event for future-curious interior-design professionals. St-W Awards and St-W Lab take place 20-21 February, 2019, in Amsterdam. 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee and organise all aspects of operations (timing, budget, team)
• Manage and execute all necessary production deliverables for all parts of the event (welcome dinner, live judging, prize-giving ceremony, talks, trend briefings, workshops, panel discussions and roundtables)
• Provide clear, concise and timely communication of weekly tasks and requirements to internal team
• Research, coordinate and communicate with various service contractors (e.g. hotel, transfer service, photographer etc.)
• Liaise with partners / sponsors and ensure a precise execution of contractual deliverables
• Communicate with event production agency
• Monitor event production budget in collaboration with event production agency
• Manage accommodation, travel and transfer arrangements for jury members, speakers and workshop hosts
• Keep internal team and external stakeholders informed as to status of deadline schedules, set-up and event specifications, speaker line-up, program and other relevant details
• Coordinate the execution of event promotion and ticket sales campaigns in close collaboration with the Marketing Manager
• Monitor and update event program schedule and other production related documents
• Communicate with Director, Marketing Manager, Head of Content and Awards Manager
• Guest management including guest list, RSVP, ticketing
• Ensure successful production during the event in collaboration with the entire team
• Organise and produce spin-off events at international design trade fairs

• Bachelor or Master degree in a related field (event management, event production, event marketing)
• 4-6 years related experience with experience managing large events, preferably in the design or lifestyle industry
• Working knowledge of the principles of marketing, especially e-mail marketing

• High level of English, written and spoken
• Well-organised, reliable and detail-oriented

• Able to prioritise multiple tasks

Editorial Intern

Are you an interior and object design enthusiast with a passion for writing and storytelling? St-W is looking for someone to support the magazine editorial team. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

•    Researching and collecting material for articles, both online and for St-W magazine
•    Writing short articles
•    Attending and contributing to weekly editorial meetings
•    Updating the online database on back issues
•    Compiling our contributors list and sending out PDFs to contributors

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•    Writing and sharing marketing and communications materials including social media posts, press releases and newsletters
•    Assist in planning, creating and implementing social media and PR initiatives
•    Implement and maintain marketing campaigns for our titles and events
•    Update, extend and improve our sales and marketing databases
•    Provide general support to the editorial and events teams
