Ready Made Curtain by Bouroullec for Kvadrat

The Ready Made Curtain is created from a do-it-yourself assembly of pegs, chords and hangers.

A more accurate name would be the 'Make Your Own Curtain Kit' - this set isn't so much ready to use as ready to assemble, but that's part of the appeal for this curtain by French designers

A nifty little set of fabric, cord, and wooden pegs, the kit allows you to create, fit and install a curtain wherever a traditional rod won't go, allowing for a customizable interior. The curtains come in a few different colours and fabrics, including wool, by , pinned to a tense cord wound between wall applicators. The kit debuted at this week.

‘The ambition was to create a new system that allows a quality curtain in record time. Little skill and few tools are needed, margin for error has been considered and perfection isn’t an absolute requirement,’ say Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec.

The super-low-tech approach nonethelss looks clean and simple with a charmingly stripped down approach - no surprise coming from the brothers, who are known for their furniture collections and collaborations with major companies.
