Skincare retailer has created a temporary installation in Hong Kong’s I.T HYSAN ONE flagship shop.
On show until 4 December, the pop-up structure is made of a whopping 800 resin boxes. Arranged on steel rods of various lengths, the black and white display has a gentle, delicate luminosity. Each box is placed in a way that looks as though it’s being drawn upward by an invisible thread.
The project’s designers, , say they were inspired by traditional floating lanterns. The installation will operate as a display counter for Aesop goods; some boxes hold products while others reward visitors’ curiosity through sound, scent and touch.
Come 4 December, the installation will be dismantled and reassembled as a permanent county on I.T HYSAN ONE’s first floor. Visit the space at 1 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong.
